Asia, Australia & New Zealand

At a basic level, this site seeks to provide information to tourists interested in destinations worldwide. You will find everything from hotel reviews to information on vacation properties on this site. To make things a bit easier, we have divided the sections up according to the continents. In this section, we will take a look at some travel specifics in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. First, though, let's take a look at what these areas have to offer as far as tourist attractions.

Asia

As the world's largest continent, it is hard to write about Asia properly using only a couple of hundred words. It is like trying to mesh Vancouver to Oshawa real estate into one. While most of the countries included in the definition of the continent enjoy tropical climates, several include four distinct seasons with areas in the north having some very severe winters, similar to the climates of those living in Ontario.

Asia has long been appealing due to its cultural tourism and appeal as much as its environmental aspects. Asian cultures tend to be flamboyant and colourful, perfect for the person looking for a total change from the world that they know. Many countries in Asia also offer travel destination opportunities that are quite economical in comparison to other destinations; Thailand and many of the southern island nations are well known for their reasonable fares. So, if you think that you can only afford a trip to Chinatown in commercial real estate Toronto, you may be surprised at where you can go!

Asian countries are generally safe for tourists as well, particularly when held up against South American or African counterparts. And you won't need Cantonese English translation at your disposal. There are people in every country who speak English. Whether you are looking for urban tourism, historical, cultural, or environmental (including beautiful beaches) there is somewhere in Asia that is perfect for you.

Australia

For a continent that includes mostly desert landscapes, Australia continues to be a very popular destination for tourists from all over the world. The main attraction of Australia continues to be the beaches that dot the coastline of the entire country, some with gorgeous condos that compare to the best Toronto waterfront condominiums. These beaches are unique in the world in makeup, fauna, and climate. The Great Barrier Reef is located off of the province of Queensland and is the most popular scuba diving destinations in the world. If your looking to see the residents usually existing in your apartment, kept alive by aquarium heaters in the wild, Australia is the place to go!

The interior of Australia is also popular, perhaps particularly because it is very easy to reach. The interior is home to Ayer's Rock and the kangaroo, both distinct Australian cultural landmarks and unique in the world. In fact, the fauna of Australia's interior is unlike that found anywhere else in the world, so don't expect to find them at your local nursery supply upon your return.

Australia also contains a couple of world cities in Sydney and Melbourne. The capital, Sydney, includes one of the modern wonders of the world in the Sydney Opera House. The city also hosted the 2000 Olympics, an event that further increased tourist awareness of the entire country.

New Zealand

As with Australia, New Zealand has an ecology that is unique in the world. The relative isolation of the country meant that animal and plant life evolved there that is unlike that in any other location in the world. You may be frequently in awe of it from your Toronto Loft television in films like Lord of the Rings.

Being further south, New Zealand does not have the warm climate over its entire surface that Australia can boast. In fact, the two islands that make up the country have very different weather patterns. In the south, a mountain range known as the Southern Alps is covered with snow all year long. The North Island is more tropical in nature.

New Zealand has an abundance of opportunity for any tourist. The varied topography makes for great ecotourism and the tropical regions are popular with sunbathers. It is known as a safe and clean destination.
